Our Chiropractor
Dan Sparks

Taunton born Dan Sparks graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth in 1993, in one of the first years that the chiropractic qualification was granted degree status. The following year, he was awarded his postgraduate diploma.

He spent the next 8 years working in Street, Nailsea & Bristol, then 9 years working in Sheffield, plus a year in between, providing locum services for chiropractic clinics all over the country.

In 2012, he returned to Somerset, started working alongside the orthodontists at Resolution Specialist Treatment Centre in Yeovil, and then returned to Street in 2013, and purchased the clinic.

Since qualifying, Dan has undertaken extensive post graduate study, regularly attending educational courses to keep up to date with current research, treatment methods & best practice. He is especially interested in the inter-professional approach to treatment of musculoskeletal disorders of the jaw, neck & cranium (skull), including headaches.

Dan enjoys working with all ages of patients and employs a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, tailored to the needs of the patient.

As well as working in practice, Dan also spent 5 years teaching biomechanics and examination skills at a chiropractic college, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and also assisted in course development in this field.

He has an active family life, enjoying trips to Dartmoor, amongst other active pursuits and plays the guitar in his spare time.

Street Chiropractic Clinic is proud to have recieved two quality awards from the Royal College of Chiropractors.
