Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation of the connective tissue (the plantar fascia) that supports the arch of the foot, and causes foot and heel pain.

This pain is often worse in the morning, or after long periods of rest. Problems with the plantar fascia can affect other joints, such as the ankle, knee or hip, if allowed to linger, or progress.

Causes of plantar fasciitis include poor footwear; tightness of the Achilles tendon; constant stress (on your feet all day) and a change in usual activity.
